Department of Energy Engineering
Energy Engineering is a critical new field using applied fusion sciences which systematically combines fundamental science expertise from various fields of engineering. This program will use and develop interdisciplinary theories and technologies blended with nanotechnology and environmental technologies rooted in physics, chemistry, materials sciences & chemical engineering with new energy production, storage and application systems. Through its advanced education and development of research capabilities, the mission of the WCD Energy Engineering department is to develop world-leading engineers in every field of energy.
Energy Engineering research at 西甲买球app explores the development of fuel cells, secondary batteries and organic solar cells as well as focusing on R&D to improve technologies which can be used to fight climate change and build a secure energy future.
The mission of the Department of Energy Engineering consists of three elements.
- - To offer academic programs which allow students to become actively involved in the process of learning and to solve energy and related environmental problems
- - To develop core technologies for sustainable energy resources (fuel cells, solar cells, high-capacity batteries, and energy materials for greenhouse gas reduction)
- - To prepare students to become valuable contributors in addressing society’s energy needs and demands, successful leaders in advancing the technology and management of energy, innovators and entrepreneurs in the energy sector
The Graduate School of Energy Engineering was established in September 2009. The Graduate School was initiated as a part of World Class University (WCU) Program supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The mission of the Department of Energy Engineering is to promote technology for energy which will be driving force for the better future. The Department prepares young students to be a one of leading scientists. Young students will have opportunities working with world class professors and will complete curriculum focused on renewable energy, sustainable energy, energy conversion and storage, and energy materials to reduce global warming.
